The new head of the faceless puppet will be a realistic shape, and will be made of papier-mâché using plain newsprint and acrylic matte medium. This is the dome of his cranium, built around a balloon.

Figuring out the scale of the head was difficult, since the puppet's body (which wears a child-sized shirt) and his hand (which will be my actual hand) are in fact out of scale with each other. The head would look strange if it were properly in scale with either of them, so it has to be somewhere in between.
