It seems I made a mistake when I drew Moss' footprints. Because Moss' body sways so strongly from side to side when he walks, I thought that his feet must move that far outward as well. But examination of some reference materials, including the excellent computer animated walk cycle seen above, revealed that no matter how much the torso sways, the feet always remain shoulder width apart.

In this photo, I'm figuring out what shoulder width means for Moss. One foot is pinned to a piece of bristol board while I position everything else correctly in a mirror. It turns out that the two parallel slits through which his feet will be controlled should be less than half the distance apart that I previously thought.
